Reprint. First published in 1905 for the USGS. Compiled after land rushes of 1889 to 1895. The Indian Territory was made up of lands remaining to the Cherokee, Creek, Choctaw, Chickasaw, Seminole, Quapaw, Peoria, Modoc, Ottawa, Wyandot and Shawnee. Indian Territory was bounded on the north by Kansas, on the east by Arkansas, on the south by Texas and on the west by Oklahoma.
